A finely engineered, exhibition standard model Stuart eight pillar vertical reversing surface condensing triple expansion marine engine built by T.R. Little. Measurements overall -- 9 x 11in (21.8 x 28cm). With blued steel clad cylinders, ¾, 1¼ and 1¾ inch bores x 1 inch stroke, drain cocks and pipework, mainstop valve, H.P. valve chest pressure gauge, hand wheel, worm and quadrant operated Stephenson's link reverse, I.P.and L.P. crosshead driven air and feed pumps, counter-balanced crankshaft, disc flywheel, shaft coupling and tubed condensor. Finished in green, red, black and polished brightwork, mounted on channel section frames on chequer plate floor, wood base and perspex cover.
