A finely engineered and well presented twin vertical cylinder mill engine built up from Stuart No.1 castings by T.R. LIttle. Measurements overall -- 14¾ x 17¾in (37.5 x 45.5cm).
With blued steel clad cylinders, 2 inch bore by 2 inch stroke, floor mounted screw and lever operated drain cocks and pipework, inlet and exhaust manifolds with bolted flanged joints, rear frame incorporated slipper type crosshead guides, ratchet operated lubricator and pipework, centrally mounted wick type bearing lubricator box and pipes with drain cock and overflow pipe, oil level and sight glass, centrally mounted spoked flywheel with rope grooves and rope driven governor linkage, and valve with screw operated speed adjustment. Finished in green, black and polished brightwork, metal bed and wood base with perspex cover.
