A Royal Vienna two-handled oviform vase and cover and a stand, the vase painted with a panel of a scene possibly of Venus and Bacchus, the reverse painted with figures within an interior, on a plain ground painted and gilt with bands of flowers and foliage between moulded flutes and puce-ground borders, the handles modelled as snakes issuing from foliate terminals, the square section stand painted with hemispherical panels of figures, one symbolic of Art, the other depicting Holbein, between panels painted with putti, marked and inscribed, circa 1900 -- 21¾in. high
