A George III beaded vase-shaped hot water jug on a later-added rising circular foot, with a wicker-cover scroll handle with foliate terminals and domed hinged cover with spiral twist finial, the front engraved with an armorial within a shield-shaped cartouche surrounded by flowers and foliage and with bow surmount, maker's mark indistinct, the upper part London 1774, the foot with later-added hallmarks - 11¾in., 20.25oz.
