An Enoch Wood pearlware figure of 'St. Paul Preaching to the Athenians' or 'Eloquence', the figure modelled standing, one arm outstretched, draped in loose Classical robes, a plinth to one side moulded with the God Mercury in flight over cliffs, the plinth surmounted by a pen and scroll, on marbleised rectangular base, painted in colours (cracks and repairs) circa 1790 -- 18¾in. high
