An 18th century oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock, the plain moulded hood inset with a glazed frieze panel of printed fabric, flanked by fluted columns, the square brass dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring and inner date ring, the foliate engraved centre with subsiduary seconds ring, signed Read TARPORLEY, the trunk with shaped door flanked by fluted pilasters, on a stepped plinth (part lacking) -- 76¾in. high.
