TWO ASHANTI DRUMS, of barrel shape with skin membranes, one carved in relief with a figure below a pair of breasts flanked by various animals, birds and implements, the other with two figures, animals, a palm tree and implements carved in shallow relief on a zigzags ground, native repair to one side, the second with breasts deficient, each about 85cm. high; a Senufo "rhythm pounder" carved as a female figure, 1m.06cm. high; and another as a monkey, damages, 1m.16cm. high (4)
