A George IV Irish moulded circular sugar basin on floral and foliate-capped lion's paw feet, applied with a gadroon, shell, foliate and berry rim and with two rising scroll handles with lion's head terminals, the body chased with a broad frieze of rococo flowers and scrolling foliage incorporating two rococo cartouches, the underside scratch-engraved with initials, maker's mark indistinct, Dublin 1825 - 7½in. overall, 12.75oz.
