An 18th century Sicilian polychrome terracotta figure of a smuggler, the young tar concealing a spirit barrel under his left arm and cloak, wearing a slouch hat, rouched shirt, waistcoat and breeks (one leg lacking and replaced with a stump), on later oak base -- 12½in. (32cm) high.
