Christian, second daughter of Sir William Stirling of Ardoch, married George Dundas, 25th of Dundas, in 1784. As the captain of the Winterton, a ship of the East India Company, he was lost when it was wrecked off the coast of Madagascar on 20 or 22 August 1792. As well as three daughters, she bore him a posthumous son, James, on 14 January 1793, and died on 14 September 1832.
