A Japanese silver and copper tapering oviform vase on high stepped base, with flattened shoulder and tall tapering neck with everted foliate rim, the body decorated in relief with a panel of fruiting vines suspended from a band of leaves and spheres, bands of stylised leaves to the foot and neck -- 17½in.high, the body with four lines of script reading "Mitsutake, ninth year of the eleventh month (November)", possibly made during the second year of the Taisho Emperor (1913).
