It is understood that this belonged to, a survivor Mr Tommy Knowles, the Firemen's messman, of Fanner's Lane, Lymington; it was in his pocket when he left TITANIC in Collapsible 'D'
This Provenance was provided by direct family descent through his daughter Miss Dorothy Knowles who died in 1992
