A carved, partially planked, fully framed, unrigged model of a third rate of 70 guns of circa 1700, built by P. Rumsey - 8½ x 27ins (21.5 x 68.5cms)
With deck details including carved female figurehead, hair rails, bitts, catheads, belaying rails, gratings, capstan, companionways, double ship's wheel, deck lights and other details. The hull, unplanked below the strake, has open gun ports, chain plates and dead-eyes, carved quarter and stern gallery details and partially planked deck showing the orlop main and upper gun decks. Finished in black and natural wood with flower and foliate decoration. Glazed case.
