A well detailed fully planked, fully rigged model of the 'Cutty Sark' as prepared for sea, circa 1879/1880, built by R. Williams - 28 x 47½ins (71.2 x 120.7cms)
With masts, spars, standing and running rigging, and deck details including figurehead, anchors, catheads, capstan, windlass, cleats and bollards, deck-rails, companionways, heads, belaying rails and pins, hatches, deck-winches, deck-houses, firebox, chicken coops, water barrels, ship's wheel, binnacle and bell and three ship's boats, one clinker built, all with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, and much other fine detailing. Finished in green, black and white with varnished decks. Stand.
