An unusual wood and metal display model of an Edwardian steam river launch, built by W.Hitchcock -- 7 x 17in.(17.8 x 43.2cm)
With scalloped canopy mounted on brass supports, the wooden hull carved from the solid and planked deck with fittings including cleats and rope coils, the interior with bench seating, vertical boiler with saftey valve extension pipe, whistle, appropriate valves, pressure gauge and steam line to single cylinder vertical engine, single shaft and propellor. Finished in black, dark red, green and varnish and mounted on two brass columns on inlaid base. Glazed case
