A fine sampler by Ann Woolnough 1797, worked in brightly coloured silks with five bands, the top one with a verse, the following two with exotic birds including parrots perched in flowering trees and urns of flowers, the next with a fantastic building with chequered pathway leading up to it and dogs chained to the gate posts, the bottom band with various animals including stags--18½in x 20½in., framed and glazed (some holes)
