A scarlet-lacquered and chinoiserie-decorated bureau bookcase, in the early 18th century style, with overall decoration of figures in lakeside scenes, the upper section with moulded cornice and a pair of panelled doors enclosing shelves, drawers and central cupboard within, the lower part with sloping fall enclosing fitted interior and three long drawers below on bracket feet, repairs, lacquer chipped - 41in. (104cm.) wide.
