A Persian shamshir with finely watered curved single edged blade inlaid on one side with a brass cartouche containing a makers name in brass and on the other with brass inlaid calligraphy, iron quillons (pommel-cap missing) silver filigree mounted horn grips, in original iron mounted tooled black leather scabbard -- 39in. long; and a North African sword with broad double edged blade, with a tapering leather grip sewn with a silver trellis design, pierced square iron pommel, in tooled black leather scabbard, iron suspention mounts, inlaid with silver -- 42in. long, 18th/19th century.
