A large Arita deep tapering jar and domed cover with knop finial, painted and gilt with a continuous band of pine, peony and prunus issuing from blue rockwork, the design continuing into the interior and over the cover (handles missing, badly damaged, old lacquer repair) -- 22in.high, 17th/18th century.
