A Victorian compressed pear-shaped teapot on scrolling foliate feet, with a rococo rising curved spout, foliate-decorated double scroll handle and domed hinged cover applied with a shell and scroll rim and with a finial modelled as a bird with outstretched wings, the body decorated with rococo flowers, foliage and scale work and with two cartouches, one engraved with a crest, maker's initials W.S., London 1861 - 7¼in., 25.25oz.
