A rare late 19th Century 7/8in gauge live steam coal fired demonstration model 0-4-0 Tram Engine No.1 'Mignonne', one valve chest cover plate engraved 'Systeme Cussonnet St.Eme 1888' -- 17 x 20in (43.2 x 50.8cm)
With rivetted steel vertical cross tube boiler with side firing and fittings including Klinger type water gauge, pressure gauge, twin salter safety valves, whistle, main stop, blower and clack valves. Engine details include twin vertically mounted cylinders approx 1in bore x 2in stroke, outward facing valve chests with separate steamways, cylinderhead displacement lubricators, studded stuffing boxes, ribbed bar type crosshead guides, lever and quadrant operated Stephenson's link reverse, wedged and bolted big ends with split brasses and eccentric driven feed pump and shut-off cock. Chassis details include disc wheels, metal skirt and body panels with canopy on rod supports, water tank, wooden tool box and headlights. Tools and some loose pieces.
