A late 18th Century lacquered brass miniature theodolite, signed on the silvered compass box G. Adams London, the telecope with draw tube focusing and bubble level, mounted in cradle, over vertical half circle, divided in two quadrants 90°-0°-90°, with silvered vernier scale, supported at axis by tapered horizontal trunnion, mounted on twin A-frame supports, over the compass box with edge bar needle, cap and clamp, the compass engraved with cardinal points, the outer dial divided in four quadrants 0°-90°, the two inner scales divided 0°-360°(x2), on revolving plate with engraved vernier scale, the silvered horizontal circle divided 10°-360°, in staff mount with locking screw, with eyepiece extension, in fitted mahogany case - 7½in.(19cm)high
