A French rosewood, parquetry and gilt-metal-mounted bon heur du jour, with overall trompe l'oeil decoration, the upper part with a pair of shaped glazed doors, and two drawers below, the base with serpentine top, frieze drawer and cabriole legs headed with cherub mounts trailing to foliate sabots, late 19th century, distressed - 27in. (68cm.) wide.
