An ebonised, tortoiseshell and brass-inlaid bureau mazarin, with overall scrolling foliage decoration, the rectangular top above a central frieze drawer and serpentine cupboard flanked by three drawers to either side between projecting angles, on gilt-metal-mounted scroll supports joined by X-shaped stretchers, with tapering metal feet - 52in. (132cm.) wide.
