A pear-shaped vase with tall tappering neck and slightly everted rim, painted and heavily gilt with a shaped rectangular panel depicting boys at play and another panel depicting a lady and boy attendant beside a vase of flowers below a band of key-pattern, further shaped cartouches to the neck depicting flowering branches, and stylized ho-o roundels, all on a brown ground decorated with flower sprigs and interlacing foliage (neck damaged) -- 11in. high, impressed mark of Kinkozan.
