A lobed koro on four tappering feet modelled as an inverted lotus bud, each panel painted and heavily gilt with a cockerel among chrysathemum, lotus and irises issuing from a meandering stream, a dragon above breaking waves and bamboo and tree peony, the shoulders with diaper-pattern below a band of key-pattern to the neck -- 5¾in. high, signed Satsuma Nishindo.
