A Japanese lacquered wood and ivory group of a fisherman striding over rockwork, holding a rod in his hands, with a pouch and basket tied to his belt, wearing a conical straw hat, short coat and leggings, decorated iroe hiramakie and inlaid in aogai with maple leaf roundels and clouds, the rockwork base decorated with grasses and aquatic plants (small pieces of inlay missing, damages) -- 16½in.high, signed on a red lacquer tablet and in gold lacquer.
