A Scotish horn snuff mull, the cover applied with a silver thistle, the collar inscribed JOHN HEDLEY Newcastle upon Tyne, -- 3in. (7½cm.) long; a similar mull, with Edinburgh silver hallmarks for 1839 and four meerschaum pipes and cheroot holders, carved with eagles' talons. (6)
