A George III bright-cut oval teapot with tapering angular spout, polished wood scroll handle and domed hinged cover with oval wood finial, each side with a boat-shaped cartouche, one engraved with a monogram, the other with an armorial, maker's initials T.D., London 1787, the base also engraved with a retailer's address: " Silver Lyon, Foster Lane" - 5½in., 14.50oz. gross.
