CRICKET The Property of the Late Hubert Martineau Hubert Martineau was a well-known figure in the cricketing world from his time at Eton in 1909 until 1939 when he ceased to play. He was best known for playing with the Free Forresters and for founding the WaterMartins Cricket Club which he led on successful tours of Egypt between 1929 and 1939. He also arranged for many of the Touring Test teams to play at his home ground at Holyport where they were entertained at the Lodge. His memoirs were published as My Life in Sport in 1970.
