A comb case of blue silk, embroidered in coloured silks, sequins and couched gilt threads, divided into four compartments, two with crowned eagles eagles and carntions, the other two with vases of srolling flowers with with small birds at their base, the top with a large tulip, trimmed with braid, with tassels at the base--25in x 7in., probably Italian, early 17th century
