An oak chest, with rectangular plank top above a triple fielded panelled front, profusely carved with berried trailing vines, rosettes, flowers and grotesque creatures, centred with a heart and pair of winged angels above, dated Ano 1794, on stile feet, with carrying handles, top repaired, French, late 18th century -- 51in. (130cm.) wide.
