An Italian rosewood, line-inlaid and marquetry commode, the rectangular hinged crossbanded top with central classical urn inlay enclosing interior with mirror and fall front, with pair of quarter-veneered doors below flanked by simulated fluted uprights on square tapering legs with gilt feet, adapted from a late 18th century commode -- 29in. (73.5cm.) wide, 21in. (53.5cm.) deep, 34½in. (88cm.) high.
