A late Victorian gilt-metal-mounted mahogany and tulipwood-banded bureau plat, with tooled leather-inset canted rectangular top and stiff-leaf gilt border, above two waved frieze drawers on cabriole legs with cabochon and foliate clasps trailing to gilt sabots, one drawer stamped Howard & Sons, Berners Street -- 52in. (132cm.) wide, 27in. (68.5cm.) deep, 28in. (71cm.) high.
