A Napoleon III gilt-metal and pietra-dura-mounted ebonised upright piano by Pleyel, the arched top with classical urn cresting and oval panel of vase of flowers flanked by female herm uprights with baskets of flowers and ribbon-tied floral ovals, the front with oval floral panel within strapwork surround, serial number L N 24541 (for 1854-1857) -- 52½in. (133.5cm.) wide, 26in. (66cm.) deep, 62in. (158cm.) high.
