Lot Essay

From 1930, serial number batch no.s 34818-60000.
According to Leica Historica. Band I which gives detailed production figures for the Leica Luxus three examples were produced in 1931 with the serial numbers 48417, 48418 and 48419. A total of ninety-five examples were made from 1929-1931, although this figure has been questioned by some writers. This example conforms to known examples, and is further unusual in having the lens specifically matched to the body.
