Lot Essay

Baguès Frères produced a wide variety of lighting fixtures and iron work in both modern and old style pieces. They elaborated and mixed the two, using fountains, fruit, flowers, animals and even a windmill for their subjects. Their preferred media, were clear or opalescent glass beads and rock crystal set in silvered or gilt mounts.
