Late 19th early 20th Century
Representing Ceres and Pomona, personifications of Summer and Autumn, each glad in Classical dress and with floral garlands on their hair, one is holding a basket of fruits, to her feet water purring out of an ornate urn, the other with a cornucopia overflowing with fruits and flowers, flanked by a bundle of wheat, each on a naturalisticly formed rectangular base, patching with gold paint

Garlanded nymphs emblematic of The Seasons of Summer and Autumn bear Ceres' cornucopia and Bacchic vines, while also serving to evoke the Elements of Earth and Water. The former stands beside corn and the latter beside a water-issuing urn.
