A FLEMISH VERDURE TAPESTRY
Late 17th early 18th Century
Woven in wools and silks, depicting two dogs chasing a hare in a forest, in the background to the right a city gate and various buildings, the floral border with parrots and other birds, centred by landscape medallions, the top corners with peacocks, the lower corners with dogs, reweaving and patching, especially to the trees to left
8 ft. 9 in. (266 cm.) high; 12 ft. (366 cm.) wide
