A Meissen saucer painted in colours with figures before a fortified tower, a church in the distance, within a gilt shaped cartouche enriched with iron-red scolls within a border of scrolling gilt, the reverse painted in duck-egg blue, blue crossed swords mark and gilt numeral, circa 1740 -- 5¼in. diam.
