A painted and gilt ivory kogo and cover modelled as a flattened lotus flower surrounding a character roundel, opening to reveal a carving of Buddha in one half seated on a lotus throne above flames, the other half carved with another Buddhist figure seated holding a sceptre in one hand and a shrine in the other (cracked on both sides) -- 4in.diam., signed on rectangular red lacquer tablet.
