A Continental faience plate painted to the centre in Chinoiserie style with two Chinese figures, one with a hawk on his wrist, the other fishing, a cormorant perched beside him, in a stylised landscape of rockwork, trees and scrolls, the borders painted with scattered flower-sprays and inscects within shaped green-line rims, circa 1750, perhaps Strasbourg -- 9¾in. diam.
