A well presented and detailed static display model of the Lotus 72D John Player Special single seat Grand Prix car of 1972, race No.8 --3½ x 15¾in (9 x 40cm)
With external details including front and rear suspension, brakes, Firestone slicks, cockpit with seat and instruments, full engine, gearbox and other detailing and finished in John Player black and 'gold' livery, the cockpit sides lettered 'Emerson Fittipaldi'. Display base and perspex cover.
Fittipaldi carried race No.8 at the South African, Monaco and British Grands Prix and came first in Spain, Belgium, Great Britain, Austria and Italy to win the 1972 drivers and constructors championships. The 72D was designed by Colin Chapman and Maurice Phillippe.
