IAN CRAWFORD Ian Crawford joined Heart of Midlothain in 1955 and played around 350 League and Cup games for the club until his transfer to West Ham United in 1962. At Hearts, he played in the famous side of the mid to late 1950's, and won two League Championships, 2 League Cups and one Scottish Cup with them. He also played in 6 European matches and made five appearances for Scotland at under-23 level. At West Ham he played around 50 League and Cup matches before joining Peterborough United in 1964. He played five season with Peterborough making approximately 300 League and Cup appearances before retiring from playing in 1969. He then entered into a coaching career as a fully qualified F.A. Coach, firstly with Everton (1969) and then Arsenal (1970-79). Crawford then donned his travelling boots and between 1979 and 1994 he coached the following clubs , Ham-Kam F.C. (Norway); Pors F.C. (Norway); Aknahda F.C. (Saudi Arabia); Al-Ahli F.C. (Oman); Keps F.C. (Finland); Jerv F.C. (Norway); Ilves F.C. (Finland); and Kuwait Sporting Club (Kuwait). In the 1955-56 Scottish Cup final, played at Hampden Park, on 21st April, before a crowd of 133,399 Hearts defeated Celtic 3-1, with goals from Crawford (2) and Conn.
