DAVID HARVEY Born in Leeds on 7th February 1948, the son of a Scottish father, David Harvey joined Leeds United ground staff in May 1963, turning professional in February 1965. An important member of the famous Leeds United side of the early 1970's, Harvey appeared in the European Cup- Winners' cup final in 1972-73; two F.A. Cup finals in 1972 and 1973 and helped his side to the Division 1 League Championship in 1973-74. After leaving Leeds for #40,000 to join Vancouver Whitecaps, Canada in March 1980, he returned briefly to Leeds United in December 1980 before going back to Canada. His love of Leeds United continued and he rejoined the club in September 1982 and stayed there until 1985 when he became Whitby Town's player/manager. Harvey made sixteen full International appearances for Scotland between 1973 and 1977. The following lot was awarded to DAVID HARVEY (See also lots 113-114)

In the 1972-73 European Cup-Winners' Cup final played in Salonica on 16th May 1973, before a crowd of 45,000, AC Milan defeated Leeds United 1-0.
