This recording appears to be a Christmas message as the Big Bopper refers to a ..Happy Holiday Season, and therefore predates his death in a plane crash with Buddy Holly and Richie Valens by two months. It also seems likely that the Jerry referred to on the tape is Jerry Wilmot, a Radio Luxemburg d.j. as Mercury Records/E.M.I. purchased air time from this radio station during this period.
