The album Live At The Apollo was recorded at The Apollo Theatre, New York City on Ocotber 24th, 1962. Brown received opposition from everyone including the management of King records to his idea about recording a live album, but he was so determined to record a live concert so that people could hear what kind of show he had that Brown decided to pay for the recording himself.
