In the 1st leg of the 1983-84 UEFA Cup final, played at Parc Astrid, Brussells, on 9th May 1984 before 35,000 spectators Spurs and RSC Anderlecht drew 1-1. The 2nd leg at White Hart Lane, played on 23rd May 1984 before 46,000 spectators, again ended in a 1-1 draw, Graham Roberts scoring the Spurs goal with only 6 minutes remaining. After extra-time Spurs won 4-3 on penalties.
