A meerschaum pipe, the bowl carved with the head of a woman wearing castellated headdress, symbolising Venice as the Queen of the Adriatic, dated 18 November 1866, comemorating the unification of Venice and the Kingdom of Italy, the four turreted headdress with conforming cheroot adapter, carved with rocaille and cherub heads to the white metal mounted amber stem, cased -- 7½in. (19cm.) long, overall.
