The above jersey was reputedly donated by John Wark for a charity auction to help Yeovil Town F.C. The letter which accompanies the jersey states "It was bought by our Vendor at this auction, but he cannot remember whether it was worn at the home or away tie".
In the first leg of the 1980-81 U.E.F.A. Cup final at Portman Road, Ipswich Town defeated AZ 67 Alkmaar 3-0, Wark scoring one goal. In the second leg, played at the Olympich Stadion, Amsterdam, Alkmaar defeated Ipswich Town 4-2, Wark scoring one goal
